Taylor’s Story.

Taylor Endres

Taylor’s flower farming journey began different from most. She did not grow up on a family farm, and was not part of her school’s FFA or 4-H chapter. In fact, she is pretty sure that neither was even an option in Gwinnett County at the time.

Her journey began with her begging her parents to let her go to Kenya, Africa on a mission trip for spring break. Over her next 4 trips to the community of Ngaamba, she was inspired by the young girls she met, and her passion of building sustainable infrastructure for clean water and food grew into a degree from Georgia Southern University. However, it was not all work and no play! While in school Taylor became a community leader for the After School Garden Program, where she taught students at 5 local elementary schools the basic understandings of plant biology, agriculture, and the benefits of gardening. Now she was hooked and couldn’t imagine doing anything other than starting her own farm where she could teach others!

But as many of you know, farms cost money, and broke young adults straight out of school don’t typically have the financial means to go out and start a farm of their own. So Taylor went the usual route, and got a job. She stumbled across a landscape company that specialized in seasonal flowers. This is where her passion for plants and flowers became a career. This is also where she met Joe Burns and truly began learning everything one needs to know about flowers!

Today, Taylor’s dream has become reality. She is now the farm manager at Bees N’ Blooms, and heads up the marketing and picking/design operations for the farm. From the field to the farmers market, she believes that one never stops learning, and each season will always bring a new set of challenges to face. However, she knows the fun of meeting new customers and the reward of watching a plant grow from a seed to beautiful garden-fresh flowers will always be worth it.

FUN FACTS: Taylor’s favorite flower is a classic purple zinnia and she has dreams of one day having an old VW van to sell flowers out of. One can only dream, right?!
